Use PubMed

There are many tutorials developed mainly by medical librarians on how to make best use of PubMed.  The National Library of Medicine has a Tutorial , PubMed Quick Tours and the AUB Saab Medical Library has another PubMed Tutorial

 

 Find Instructions to Authors

When an author wants to write an article for a medical journal, he has to follow the “Instructions to Authors” that are specific for that journal.  To find these instructions, a number of US medical librarians collected the medical journals instructions into ‘Instructions to Authors in the Health Sciences’ that lists the journals titles alphabetically :International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) that publishes the “Uniform Requirements for Manuscripts Submitted to Biomedical Journals”

 

Use Google more effectively

Everyone uses Google, but not everyone is aware of the tips that can help to search it more effectively. One way of showing these tips is by listing different search commands and explaining what each would retrieve.
